faytech designed their early Touchscreen PC mainboards around the most widely used chipsets in the industrial touchscreen industry, Intel’s N270 and D525. Although these chipsets continue to be used through-out the Touchscreen industry, their graphics components are marginal at best, and the Dual Core Board D525 generates a great deal of heat. The following model with GMA3600 and 3650 graphic chipset (e.g. the N2600, N2800 or D2550) lacks a lot of support from Intel and Microsoft: no 64Bit support, no Win8 support, see http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelgma3600/sb/CS-033597.htm). So after 3 years of R&D, faytech now offers a sophisticated fanless mainboard solution developed in conjunction with the industrial division of ASUS. In a much smaller package, faytech´s one universal PC mainboard is the backbone of faytech’s entire 8″-55″ Touchscreen PC product line. Its new proprietary design offers either the Intel N2600 or N2800 CPU, combined with a powerful AMD Radeon Caicos HD 7400 mobile series graphic chip with 512MB dedicated graphic memory, with 2GByte RAM (N2600) or 4GByte RAM (N2800), supporting WinXP, Win7, Win8, Linux, 32Bit, 64Bit and an amazing assortment of connectors including HDMI, VGA, Serial, USB, SATA, Ethernet (2x Gbit Lan), PCIeX1 straddle, 2x Mini-PCIe, GPIO and many others. This variety of connectors allows faytech’s Touchscreen devices to be used in many different systems and with many industrial applications.
faytech has also introduced a new line of embedded TPCs with a small CPU board and a customizable baseboard. The system is based on Cortex A8 or A9 OMAP Texas Instruments CPUs with 1GHz and 1.2GHz clock speed. The baseboard supports network, serial, USB as well as CAN 2.0-bus connections and supports interfaces like UART, I2C and many more — perfectly customizable to customer´s needs.
